Fire In Langley Complex Kills 1, Injures 2 Others

LANGLEY, B.C. - One person is dead and two others are in hospital following a fire Thursday evening in Langley Township, B.C.

The blaze erupted at about 6:30 p.m. in what appears to be a fourplex (on Old Yale Road near the junction to Fraser Highway).

The RCMP says one person was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries and a third person who was injured is expected to survive.

Fire officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire and the RCMP says no further updates are expected until late Friday afternoon.

Old Yale Road in the fire zone was expected to remain closed into the morning.

The names and ages of the victims have not been released.
