NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C. - Police have released the name of a man who was fatally shot in North Vancouver, B.C., but they're still looking for a motive.

An RCMP news release says the victim of Saturday's homicide was 69-year-old Rostam Poulad-Noshiravan.

The shooting happened on Saturday afternoon and prompted police to temporary close the two bridges that connect North Vancouver and Vancouver as they searched for a suspect.

The news release says Poulad-Noshiravan was not known to police and investigators are still working to determining a motive.

A grey or silver import-style car was spotted leaving the scene, and police are asking anyone with information about what happened to come forward.

It was the first homicide of the year in North Vancouver.
