CALGARY - Police say a girl's decision to tell her parents about unsolicited sexually explicit text messages has lead to a Calgary man being charged with child luring.

Investigators with the Southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation team say the 12-year-old girl started receiving the text messages in September.

She told her parents, who contacted police.

Undercover police officers then started to communicate with a man online.

Police say the 21-year-old man was arrested last Wednesday when he thought he was meeting the girl for sex.

Justin Robert Watson faces luring, invitation to sexual touching and other charges.
