James Franco has Vancouverites in a state of Francophrenia, and now fans have an even bigger reason to swoon: the chance to meet the actor face to face.

To promote his new book "Actors Anonymous," the star of "127 Hours" and "This is the End" will be signing copies this Thursday at Chapters on Robson Street.

Space is limited, so fans must line up before the store opens at 9 a.m. on Thursday to buy the book and receive one of 500 wristbands. Once they obtain a wristband, which guarantees entry, they can return for the 7 p.m. signing. As the event listing states, the actor will not be autographing any memorabilia except the book (sorry, "Spider-Man" fans!).

According to Amazon, Franco's debut book provides an inside account of Hollywood through lyric essays, testimonials, and, um, text messages.

The actor is currently in Vancouver filming "The Interview" with BFF and fellow "Freaks and Geeks" alum Seth Rogen. Both were spotted filming at Robson Square last Friday when the popular downtown space was turned into North Korea.

In the film, the actors play journalists who've been dispatched to the country to assassinate Kim Jong-un.
