When it comes to naming your four-legged best friend, sometimes it just helps to know what's popular.
Rover.com released their annual most popular dog names of 2013, and let's just say, they're not anything we haven't seen before. Male names like Cooper and Buddy and female names like Lily and Lucy all made the list this year.
Not one of the top human names of 2013 made this canine list this year, which comes as a surprise thanks to a recent trends towards naming baby's after frankly, non-human things.
The site reviewed thousands of registered users in their U.S. database to narrow down the top 20 names.
But there are some do's and don'ts of naming your dog. Do, for example, choose a name that's short and that you actually like — and don't change the name once it's given.
