Panoramic images peak into Vancouver's past and present

Ever wanted to time travel? The City of Vancouver Archives has teamed up with HR MacMillan Space Centre to create a unique presentation that matches modern photographs with their counterparts from up to 100 years ago.

Through the Lens: Building Vancouver's History pairs archival photographs shot by William J. Moore in the early 1900's with modern digital images of the same locations. The panoramic images of False Creek, Kerrisdale and city hall of the past will be projected onto the dome ceiling at the Space Centre (aka The Planetarium).

Historian Michael Kluckner will narrate the show Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. P.T.
