Two brothers' lives changed after mother struck, killed

Pedestrian deaths have hit a five-year high in Toronto, with more than three dozen fatalities since the start of the year.

In one recent case, the death of a Toronto woman has left a man with Down Syndrome without his mother — and another man who must now take his mother’s place as his brother’s guardian.
