Paul Walker Car Cruise Draws Hundreds (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

LOOK: Luxury Car Cruise Honours Walker

"Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker was honoured by hundreds of people in a car cruise, a parade of luxury vehicles, on Saturday.

Organizer Lorenzo Garcia estimated that as many as 500 drivers took part in the cruise, which began at SilverCity Riverport in Richmond and travelled all the way to Spanish Banks beach in Vancouver, The Province reported.

"It was spectacular, we're going to have to do this every year," he told the newspaper.

The cruise featured several fancy cars such as Mustangs, Lamborghinis and Lotus Cars, and many were souped up in a manner similar to the vehicles used in the popular film franchise.

Garcia told CTV News that "Fast & Furious" raised awareness of the car scene and that Walker, in particular, boosted interest in the hobby.

The event raised about $1,300 that will be donated to the Red Cross to help with Typhoon Haiyan relief in the Philippines.

Walker died on Nov. 30 after a Porsche Carrera GT being driven by his friend Roger Rodas crashed into a pole and burst into flames in Valencia, Calif.

The pair had just left a fundraiser that the actor's charity, Reach Out Worldwide, held in support of typhoon victims.

Walker died of traumatic and thermal injuries, while Rodas died of multiple traumatic injuries.
