Woman's body found in Langley house fire

A unidentified woman was killed in a house fire in Langley, B.C., on Sunday night.          

Firefighters received a call from someone driving by reporting smoke from the car port at 203rd St. and Grade Crescent around 9 p.m. PT.

They arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the house and flames burning through the roof.  Live wires were also sparking and arcing in the bushes nearby until BC Hydro was able to shut off the power.

After firefighters managed to get the fire out they found the body of the woman inside. The victim's name has not been released.

Investigators are expected to return to the site on Monday morning to attempt to determine the cause of the fire.
