"Pad kid poured curd pulled cod." Now say it five times in a row.

But don't worry if you can't. Researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have dubbed this phrase the world's most difficult tongue twister. And as jumbled and random as it may sound, attempting this twister may be good for you in the long run. Turns out tough tongue twisters can open windows in our brain's speech planning process, researchers say.

Stefanie Shattuck-Hufnagel, an MIT psychologist who studies speech errors, says research like this can help us understand how a "normal" brain functions.

"When things go wrong, that can tell you something about how the typical, error-free operation should go," she said in a statement.

Researchers found common errors occurred when people said certain sounds too quickly and lost control of what came out of their mouths. Common examples included "toy boat" as "toy boyt" and "top cop" as "cop cop."

To narrow down the hardest phrase, however, researchers asked a group of volunteers to to recite a combination of these so-called hard words and phrases and when "pad kid poured curd pulled cod" came up, let's say just these volunteers were trumped.
