Guillemette had been on an escorted leave on February 13 from a federal facility in Laval when he managed to jump on a snowmobile, taking off through the woods.
Officers with the Sureté du Quebec's tactical squad arrested Guillemette yesterday near Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, south of Quebec City.
"We knew that he was dangerous, we knew that he might be armed. So we act very carefully with this type of person," said Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau with the SQ.
In 2002 Guillemette began serving a 41-year sentence for the second degree murder of boxer Jean-François Lessard in 2001.
Police said additional charges could be laid against Guillemette relating to illegal possession of firearms and evading custody.
On September 14, fellow Hells Angel René Charlebois committed suicide while on the run after escaping from prison.
