Abbotsford family builds legacy house for disabled son

A couple who lost their 10-year-old son, Matthew, to health complications related to brain damage has built a respite home in Abbotsford in his memory.

Doug and Andrea Froese raised $4 million to build Matthew's House, a place where families in the Fraser Valley who have children with high needs can take a rest.

"We sort of imagined a place where people could take their kids and just feel free ... and be well cared for," said Andrea Froese.
