11-Year-Old Blind Girl Sings Heartrending 'Wrecking Ball' Cover (VIDEO)

11-Year-Old Blind Girl Covers 'Wrecking Ball,' Wrecks Us

YouTube has been filled with amateur covers and spoofs of pop songs for years now, and in 2013 Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" was probably got the most remakes. But as you can see from the video gallery below, most versions were comedic, either as outright parodies or by winkingly changing the genre to country or indie.

And then there's this cover by Joyce Jimenez, an 11-year-old blind girl from the Philippines who went viral earlier this year with a shockingly powerful version of "Wrecking Ball" that only grows in strength and emotional impact as it goes along. The fact that Jimenez reads the lyrics in braille as she sings made it rend our hearts even more.

A Filipino news site points out she's "also always at top of her class in school."

When you're done watching Joyce since, and maybe weeping a little, cheer up with the silly versions below.
