Mounties ID 2 Of 3 People In Castor Farmhouse Fire Deemed 'Suspicious'

CASTOR, Alta. - Police have identified human remains found in the rubble of a home destroyed by fire in central Alberta.

The fire at the home in Castor happened on Dec. 8.

At the time, three people were unaccounted for.

RCMP now say Gordon Klaus, 61, and Monica Klaus, 40, perished in the fire.

Sandra Klaus, 62, is still unaccounted for.

Jason Klaus said after the fire that his parents and his sister were in the home at the time.

Police say the deaths are suspicious.
