Serena Williams Hits The Catwalk In Thailand In Pink Silk Creation

WIN OR MISS? Serena Steps Out In Silk

We're big fans of Serena Williams -- not only is she a tennis phenom, she's pretty much revolutionized style both on the courts and off.

Well-known for her edgy game style, Serena also keeps athletic physiques in the spotlight with her many red-carpet appearances, and has long demolished the notion that athletes aren't stylish. So we think it's very cool to see her take to the runway, as she did Wednesday in Thailand for a fashion show at the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort near Bangkok.

Williams, 32, wore a pink silk dress by local designer Unawan Tangkarawakun, which featured a sweetheart halter neckline and asymmetrical hemline accented with wide stripes from the hip and a double frill.

It's not what we would have chosen for the tennis superstar -- Serena can pull off edgy and form-fitting and has a killer set of gams, which were pretty much obscured by the copious amounts of fabric in the dress, which didn't appear to fit her all that well.

But she took a chance and stepped outside her comfort zone, so how can we fault her for that? Get it, fault her?

We're here all week folks. In the meantime, check out Serena's frock and let us know what you think in the comments below.
