The bodies of David Pichosky and Rochelle Wise of Toronto were found on Jan. 10, 2013, after concerned friends reported they hadn't picked them up as scheduled the previous day.
The medical examiner concluded the deaths were homicide by asphyxiation, although police haven't said whether it was by hand or a ligature.
Police released video last February from a neighbour's surveillance camera hoping to identify a woman seen walking to the rear of the couple's home, but she hasn't been identified.
Last April, investigators said the slayings may have been motivated by robbery as Wise's wedding band — valued at $16,000 — was missing from the couple's condo.
Hallandale Beach police say today's news conference is tentative as they are awaiting the arrival of family members from Canada who might be delayed due to weather related flight delays.
