With a high-pressure system protecting the South Coast from rain through Saturday, the challenge in the forecast will be how long the fog hangs on in the morning.
Afternoon temperatures for Vancouver have the potential to hit 7 C to 9 C Thursday and Friday, with sunny afternoons and cool overnight lows. With warmer temperatures and blue skies aloft, afternoon highs will actually be a few degrees warmer on the South Coast mountains — not good news for skiers.
The next chance of rain will be a few showers this Saturday, but high pressure is building back in for more unseasonably dry weather next week.
