IHIT called to investigate murder in Surrey

A man's body has been discovered in a parked car in the 18900 block of 92nd Avenue.  Surrey RCMP say they made the discovery around 9 a.m. Tuesday and an initial investigation has determined the death is a homicide.

Surrey RCMP  have now turned the case over to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

IHIT Corporal Dominic Duchesneau says police are looking for help from the public.

"We are in the early stages of the investigation and although the cause of death will have to be confirmed through autopsy we can say that this incident does not appear to be a random act."

Duscheneau says police are asking anyone who may have information to call the IHIT tip line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or email
