There are now five confirmed cases of measles — four of them in the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region — and nearly a dozen other cases are under investigation.
Dr. Maurice Hennink, who is with the health region, says an infected person may have been in a number of the daycares.
Hennink says most children in daycares have been vaccinated and other youngsters have been given immune globulin serum, which contains antibodies to protect them.
He says he won't name the daycares because parents of children attending the facilities were notified.
Health officials are also expanding the number of public places where people may have been exposed to the measles virus between Jan. 13 and Jan. 20.
