Fergus Hunter Convicted In Hit-And-Run Death Of 10-Year-Old Eleasha Wesley

CALGARY - A Calgary judge has found a man guilty of all charges laid in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a 10-year-old girl.

Fergus Hunter was charged with dangerous driving causing death and fleeing the scene of an accident that killed Eleasha Wesley.

The child was in a car that was struck from behind by a minivan on the Trans-Canada Highway, just west of the city, in May 2012.

The car flipped into the ditch and the van driver fled the scene, but was arrested three weeks later in Cochrane, Alta.

Hunter, a Morley, Alta., resident, was 19 at the time of the crash.

He will face a sentencing hearing on May 2nd.
