RCMP say at least two men pushed their way into a home in the Strawberry Hill neighbourhood of Surrey, B.C., and held four children and two caregivers hostage for a short while around dinner time Wednesday night.

No one was seriously injured, but four young children were tied up during the home invasion.

The children's father arrived home a short time after, and had a confrontation with the men.

The two men then fled from the home, which is near Scott Road and 75th Avenue.

Police are working to get descriptions of the perpetrators to release to the public later today.
