3 suspicious deaths in 2 towns linked by Quebec police

Investigators and specialists are at the scene of a bizarre crime in the Beauce region of Quebec.

The bodies of two people — a man and a woman in their 40s — were found outside of a private residence in Ste-Croix-de-Lotbinière Saturday evening.

“Police received a call yesterday in the evening around 8:45 p.m. ET… for Chemin Côte-des-Bouleaux in Ste-Croix. They went there and found two bodies,” says Mélanie Dumaresq of the Sûreté du Québec.

Police were then tipped off to a much larger scenario and made their way to another home, about 70 kilometres away in St-Isidore.

Richard Gagné of the SQ said three people were found there — one dead and two unconscious. They were transported to hospital, where they are in critical condition.

“We’re talking about violent death,” Gagné said.

He said the two incidents were related, but that it was too early in the investigation to confirm any details about the nature of the relationship.
