Anti-Ford Commercial Asks 'How Do You See Toronto?' (VIDEO)

How do you see Toronto?

That's the question posed in a slick, mysterious new video uploaded to YouTube this week that suggests the varied controversies surrounding Mayor Rob Ford have damaged the reputation of Canada's largest city.

The clip shows recognizable spots around town — from the Royal Ontario Museum to city hall — splattered with some of Ford's more notorious quotes.

While most of the quotes are from his time in the mayor's chair, some — like the "oriental" remark cleverly superimposed onto a Chinatown billboard — were from his years as a city councillor.

Ford's face doesn't appear in the ad, perhaps as a reminder to prospective voters of just how infamous he has become.

The ad ends with Ford's voice saying "people are going to have their say on October 27th."

Ford has already filed his papers to run and is confident his fiscal record will get him re-elected.

But a different ad was also uploaded to YouTube last week, railing against Ford's "broken promises."

It's not clear if any campaign or potential campaign is behind the spots.

Former budget chief David Soknacki is also running for mayor, while Councillor Karen Stintz has made clear she intends to pursue the top job but hasn't officially registered.

Former Ontario Progressive Conservative leader John Tory and NDP MP Olivia Chow are both expected to join the race as well.

Tory came under fire this week over some comments about the gender pay gap that some interpreted as sexist.

Tory suggested his words were being twisted out of proportion to benefit Chow.
