Calgary Stereotypes Summed Up On Map

LOOK: Every Broad, Offensive Calgary Stereotype Summed Up

We know communities are much more than how outsiders view them, so this map of Calgary neighbourhoods based on broad stereotypes is, arguably, quite offensive.

Originally appearing on Reddit, the "artist" offers up the typecasting as a "helpful new map for people thinking of moving to Calgary."

We don't necessarily agree that Calgary's northeast quadrant is "da hood" filled with "white trash and ethnic stereotypes," but there's no refuting that certain areas of the city attract more young families, students and wealthy people.

One thing's for sure, however – the map has sparked a lively debate on Reddit about how communities are often perceived differently when people take time to learn about and spend more time in them.
