Both Telus and Koodo are reporting that service should be fully restored after an outage lasting about an hour and a half resulting from "technical difficulties."
Reports began pouring into the website Canadianoutages.com shortly before 3 p.m. ET, and many users were also complaining on Twitter.
Reports of trouble making cellphone calls or transmitting data came from British Columbia and Alberta and southern Ontario through to Nova Scotia.
Both Telus and Koodo confirmed the outages to their customers via Twitter, but both said they had resolved any issues by about 4.30 p.m. ET.
"We apologize for the inconvenience," a Telus spokeswoman said in an email statement.
