It may not be up to Vancouver-level heights, but the recent purchase of renown Canadian music producer David Foster and wife Yolanda's stunning Victoria penthouse has set a new record in B.C.'s capital.

The $5-million price tag is the capital's biggest sale since 2007, according to Curbed Vancouver.

Foster, a Victoria native, bought the condo because he "fell in love with the building and the incredible views the home had," reports Times Colonist.

Located on Victoria's famous Dallas Road, the condo had, according to The Vancouver Sun, been on the market for about a year before it was bought.

Built in 2002 in the city's James Bay area, the 4,410-square-foot condo is spacious and comes with amazing views, high coffered ceilings, hardwood floors, marble kitchen counters. The master bedroom boasts an ensuite bathroom complete with a marble walk-in shower and infloor heating. There's also a spacious walk-in closet.

The two-level condo has a total of three bedrooms, four bathrooms, three fireplaces, and three decks.
