$1.5M worth of pot found, Brampton man charged

A Brampton man faces charges after police found 1,000 marijuana plants inside a suspected grow-op last week.

Peel Regional Police say they searched a commercial premise on Sismet Road in Mississauga last Thursday, finding 1,113 marijuana plants and nearly 14 kilograms of marijuana inside.

Police say the confiscated pot had a street value of more than $1.5 million.

Daniel Correia, 31, of Brampton, faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and production of a controlled substance. He is due to appear in a Brampton court on March 20.
