After a break from the ice, the Montreal Canadiens players who are not in Sochi were back at practice today, but they hit the ice late — because they were watching the nail-biting game between Canada and Latvia.

“We're all cheering for Canada and it's an exciting time of the year,” said Habs forward Travis Moen.

“You could kind of see the intensity pick up as the game went on, and there's not easy game in that tournament -- especially on the big ice. It's hard to produce and score goals, so every game's a close game,” said Habs forward Brendan Gallagher.

Team Canada will advance to Friday’s semi-finals match, where they’ll face the United States.
