Harper Facebook 'Look Back' Video Released By Young New Democrats

WATCH: Harper's Facebook Look Back.. As Imagined By The NDP

What do the last eight years of the Harper government look like?

Well, Young New Democrats have an idea.

The youth wing of the NDP released a spoof of Stephen Harper's Facebook "look back" video Wednesday and, while it came a few weeks after the classic spoof of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, it's still pretty effective.

In the clip, Harper's "first moments" include the war in Afghanistan, prorogation in 2010 and the troubled F-35 deal.

But there are also photos of gazebos, George W. Bush, Mike Duffy, and former Tory minister Bev Oda having a smoke.

In the "most unliked posts" section, New Democrats gleefully point out that Harper holds the record for most Senate appointments in a single year.

And they were careful to include Harper's praise for his former chief of staff Nigel Wright, who the RCMP believe broke the law by cutting Duffy a $90,000 cheque.

But the New Democrats are not the first party to try this creative tactic.

Ontario Progressive Conservatives also released a fake "look back" video for Kathleen Wynne, which featured several unflattering photos of the premier and plenty of references to the gas plant scandal.
