Several people called 911 just after 12:45 a.m. ET to report possible gunshots at Yoko, a restaurant on the corner of Jean-Talon and Buies streets.
"When police officers arrived on the scene, they located two victims inside the restaurant. First victim is a 50-year-old man. Both his face and hands were injured, we're talking about lacerations. Second victim is also an man, 54 years old, wounded by a projectile on his upper body. They were both transferred in hospital where doctors do not fear for their lives,” said Letizia Comparsi of the Montreal police.
While patrolling the area around the restaurant, police found a third man who had also been shot.
Police are still interviewing witnesses and investigating whether his injuries are related.
A motive and suspects are still being sought.
