St-Léonard restaurant shooting injuries 3 men

Three men were taken to hospital after a shooting in a Japanese restaurant in St-Léonard early Friday morning.

Several people called 911 just after 12:45 a.m. ET to report possible gunshots at Yoko, a restaurant on the corner of Jean-Talon and Buies streets.

"When police officers arrived on the scene, they located two victims inside the restaurant. First victim is a 50-year-old man. Both his face and hands were injured, we're talking about lacerations. Second victim is also an man, 54 years old, wounded by a projectile on his upper body. They were both transferred in hospital where doctors do not fear for their lives,” said Letizia​ Comparsi of the Montreal police.

While patrolling the area around the restaurant, police found a third man who had also been shot.

Police are still interviewing witnesses and investigating whether his injuries are related.

A motive and suspects are still being sought.
