Blake Legette, a suspect in the disappearance of Loretta Saunders, will remain in jail until at least Friday, when he has a bail hearing.

Leggette, 25, was brought to a Halifax courthouse on Tuesday morning, but didn't make an appearance in court.

Saunders, a Saint Mary's University, student was last seen on Feb. 13.

Her car was found in Harrow, Ont., south of Windsor, last week.

Her roommates, Leggette and Victoria Henneberry, 28, were arrested shortly after the car was found and were charged by Ontario police with stealing a vehicle. Leggette had been charged with fraud for allegedly using Saunders's bank card has that charge has been stayed by the Crown in Ontario.

According to her boyfriend, YalcinSurkultay, Saunders told him she was going to try to collect rent money from her new roommates.

Leggette and Henneberry had moved in with Saunders a month earlier after connecting through Kijiji, but apparently had not yet paid rent.

Henneberry remains in Ontario as Halifax police continue their attempts to transfer her back to Halifax for questioning.

Saunders's family members will be at a news conference at 2:30 AT.  A vigil for the missing Inuk woman is planned for tonight in Halifax.
