ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - The Newfoundland and Labrador government plans to release a report today on regulating the province's midwives.

The move comes almost four years after the province introduced legislation — but it was never made law.

Health Minister Susan Sullivan says the regulations will be part of the Health Professions Act.

Newfoundland and Labrador is one of only three regions in the country without regulated midwives.
