ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - With less than two weeks left before the deadline, there are still no official candidates in the race to lead Newfoundland and Labrador's governing Conservative Party.

So far, only Corner Brook businessman Bill Barry has said he plans to run.

However, he has yet to file his official nomination papers.

Kathy Dunderdale resigned as premier on Jan. 24 amid questions about her leadership and a dramatic slide in approval ratings.

Dunderdale became the uncontested Progressive Conservative leader after former premier Danny Williams quit politics in late 2010.
