Clinton?s effort to carefully craft her post-Cabinet image has hit a few bumps with the latest sexting scandal revelations in the New York City mayoral campaign of Anthony Weiner, the husband of close Clinton aide Huma Abedin, and the SEC investigation roiling the Virginia governor?s race of Terry McAuliffe, former chairman of Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign, both which recall politically problematic chapters of her past. Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is making a Vancouver appearance on Wednesday — but don't expect to hear much about it from mainstream media.

Clinton's talk is hosted by the Board of Trade's Women's Leadership Circle.

The board's Greg Hoekstra says there is no media accreditation for Clinton's speech, according to the Seattle Post Intelligencer.

In response to an email by Vancouver journalist Craig McCulloch, Hoekstra added that Clinton's talk will not be streamed and that it is a "private speaking engagement."

Tickets for the event — ranging from $115 to $440 — are almost sold out.
