Matt Moulson traded from Sabres to Wild: reports

The long-awaited Matt Moulson deal reportedly happened Wednesday, less than 30 minutes before the NHL’s 3 p.m. ET trade deadline.

The Buffalo Sabres reportedly sent the top-end left-winger to Minnesota along with centre Cody McCormick for undisclosed draft picks and centre Torrey Mitchell.

Moulson, an impending unrestricted free agent, had been rumoured to be on the move since Buffalo acquired him from the New York Islanders for Thomas Vanek on Oct. 27. Moulson had 11 goals and 29 points in 44 games since that trade and 38 points in 55 contests overall this season.
