ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Newfoundland and Labrador's legislature will resume sitting next week.

The members of the legislature will be back in their seats for the spring sitting on Wednesday for the Throne Speech.

It will be Tom Marshall's first legislative session as Premier, and Charlene Johnson's first as Finance Minister.

Dale Kirby and Chris Mitchelmore, who had been sitting as Independents after leaving the NDP, are now sitting with the Liberals.

Marshall has already indicated the budget can be expected by late March or early April.
