It's one thing to read the media reports of Justin Bieber's bad behaviour and surly outbursts. Watching it all unfold, complete with NSFW language, in the controlled environment of a lawyer's office is something completely different.
TMZ released some clips of Bieber's most outlandish and boorish behaviour during his recent video deposition on charges relating to an alleged attack on a paparazzi by one of his bodyguards, and it is something to behold.
Even the poor stenographer, who had no bone in this dog fight, was disparaged by Bieber for asking, politely, for him to speak a little louder so she could record proceedings.
"Yes and no are pretty f**king different," said Bieber.
Perhaps the most telling statement came when Bieber, asked about the role R&B singer Usher played in his career, credited YouTube for his success, though he did say Usher was a friend and helpful to his career. He then said something that inadvertently was the most truthful thing to come out of his mouth.
"I was detrimental to my own career," said Bieber. His lawyer quickly interjected, "instrumental, he meant instrumental."
