Music is known to soothe the savage beast, but it's pretty good at soothing savage babies, too.
When my son was still crawling, the first piano chords of "Silvia" by Miike Snow (the guys who wrote Britney's "Toxic") would immediately stop his tears and when he was a bit bigger he got no bigger pleasure than from dancing like a madman to "Gangnam Style."
My experience wasn't unique. But while kids have been acting adorable to music since time immemorial, what's new is the ability for parents to easily record and share these musical moments.
Music elicits an emotional and physical reaction from most people, but there's something amazingly honest about the way little kids react to it, whether they're rocking to dubstep in the backseat like three young daughters did in a video that went viral last week or crying like little Jackson did to Great Big World's "Say Something," which went viral last month.
In fact, we found more than 30 other videos of babies and toddlers reacting to music by weeping, singing, dancing and screaming. (That last one happened during Rebecca Black's "Friday," so totally understandable reaction.)
