Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty.

Two Alberta Mounties are being called heroes after they helped bring a baby into the world over the weekend.

RCMP Consts. Colin Folk and Ben Lumymes helped deliver the baby after responding to a emergency medical call at a Fort Chipewyan home, approximately 200 kilometres northeast of Fort McMurray, early Saturday morning.

When they arrived, they found a woman in labour. They decided, due to her condition, she could not be transported to the nursing station, and the two officers delivered the baby in the home without any complications.
