ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - The Newfoundland and Labrador Progressive Conservative Party has officially accredited Frank Coleman as a candidate for the party's leadership.

Party officials say Coleman, a Corner Brook businessman, has met the criteria set down in the party's constitution.

Bill Barry was confirmed as a candidate last week leaving Wayne Bennett, a town councillor in Howley, as the only one of the three declared candidates yet to be confirmed.

Delegates will elect a new leader during a convention beginning July 4 in St. John's.
