CBC Cancels Three Shows
CBC

Three beloved shows on CBC have been cancelled, fresh on the heels of the Rogers-NHL deal.

"Arctic Air," starring Adam Beach as a renegade bush pilot in Yellowknife, N.W.T., lasted three seasons and was considered a homegrown hit. "Cracked" had just completed its sophomore season (to relatively positive reviews) and stand-up/skit program "The Ron James Show" was in the middle of its fifth season.

Upcoming projects that CBC has in the works include a new season of reality competition "Dragons' Den," the half-hour sitcom "Schitt's Creek" starring Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Dan Levy and Chris Elliott and an internationally co-produced TV adaptation of the acclaimed novel "The Book of Negroes."

"Murdoch Mysteries" (Mondays, 9 p.m.)
