EDMONTON - A man who took part in swarming a man who was fatally stabbed on an Edmonton street has been sentenced to five years in prison.

Cliff Decoine-Zuniga, was convicted of manslaughter in the death of Dylan McGillis on Whyte Avenue in 2006.

Dylan's dad, Grant McGillis, says it's been a long road for the family.

Court heard that McGillis and his friends were surrounded by up to nine people.

McGillis was stomped and fatally stabbed in the stomach.

Marlene Beres says she's happy, but not satisfied with the sentence; she and her husband want to see the person who stabbed their son brought to justice.

“Things aren’t over as of yet," said Grant McGillis. "We’re hopeful that they will come up with some more developments.

“People, as they grow and age, might change their minds about coming forward. That’s all we have. We can only hope for somebody else to come forward and put the rest of the puzzle together."
