Quebec leaders face off for first time in tonight's debate

Sparks will fly during tonight's Quebec election debate as leaders go head-to-head on four themes: the economy, governance, sovereignty and identity.

The leaders of the four main political parties will face off for a two-hour, French-language debate starting at 8 p.m. ET tonight.

CBC News will carry the debate live with English translation on all platforms, including:

- A live stream at

- A radio special on 88.5 FM from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET, hosted by CBC's Steve Rukavina.

- A television broadcast of the two-hour debate on CBC's News Network.

Participating in the debate will be Liberal Leader Philippe Couillard, Parti-Québécois Leader Pauline Marois, Coalition AvenirQuébec Leader FrançoisLegault and QuébecSolidaire co-spokesperson Françoise David.

The debate, which will be moderated by Radio-Canada's Anne-Marie Dussault and Sébastien Bovet.

The debate was organized by a consortium of broadcasters and will be held at the Radio-Canada studios.
