Vicious Assault In Vancouver Tattoo Shop Caught On Video

Shocking Store Owner Assault Caught On Video

A regular customer of a Vancouver body art shop violently assaulted the owner — and the shocking attack was caught on surveillance video.

In the footage taken on Monday afternoon, a male customer is seen kicking and pushing Jojo Geronimo, who owns Looks Wow in the International Village Mall.

The man was angry over $15 he claims he was owed for a cancelled touch-up appointment, Geronimo told The Huffington Post B.C. in an email. She identified him as Byron Thomas Hobbs, a previous tattoo client.

Geronimo described what happened:

He starts going into my area tried to search for stuff to take, I think, so I tried to go in between my stuff and him then I said, 'I won't do your tattoo anymore and I will call security.' Then he started to grab me by my neck. I remembered holding onto his collar and he did a judo on me so I fell on the floor and he started to kick me while I was on the floor.

I got up and I think he kicked me again and the second time I fell on the floor again. Then I grabbed the clear plastic chair to hit him but he grabbed it towards me to use on me and pin me. Somehow help came in and security started to subdue him and lots more other people came to help.

She told The Province she suffered some bruises on her jaw and can't eat properly.

Hobbs has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault, according to CTV News.
