Junos 2014: Robin Thicke Won't Perform Or Attend Awards, Placed On 'Mandatory' Vocal Rest

Robin Thicke Pulls Out Of Juno Awards Performance

Robin Thicke has cancelled his Sunday night performance at the 2014 Juno Awards after being placed on 'mandatory vocal rest,' according to a CTV press release.

The 'Blurred Lines' singer, who is nominated for multiple Junos, also had to postpone shows that were scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

“This is show business, so we’re always prepared for this type of situation,” said John Brunton, the broadcast's executive producer.

“This morning’s announcement will not impact what is looking to be a hell of a show. If rehearsals are any indication, viewers will be treated to a fantastic broadcast, and a few surprises as well.”

Tegan and Sara, The Sheepdogs and OneRepublic are still scheduled to perform, along with other artists. Arcade Fire will perform via tape due to tour commitments.

Sunday night's Juno Awards will begin at 8 p.m. CT and 9 p.m. ET.
