For those who live in Alberta, it can be tough to remember how rare wildlife sightings can be in other parts of Canada and the world.
But a new video from Parks Canada and Travel Alberta highlights the rare opportunity for bear sightings in western Canada and outlines some of the work resource management officers do to keep these beautiful animals safe.

As one officer in the video says about spotting a bear while visiting Alberta: "For many people, it's not just the highlight of their trip — it's the highlight of their life."
