"À tous mes amis dans le PQ, mes sincères adieux [To all my friends in the PQ, my sincere farewells]," Wall said through his Twitter account Tuesday morning.
He signed the tweet "Le Ratoureux."
That's the Quebecois slang, loosely translated as a mischievous or sneaky person, which Marois called Wall midway through the election campaign.
She later explained Wall likes to trip her up and tried to downplay one of her labour proposals at a premiers meeting.
An amused Wall responded in French during a media scrum to say he only tries to trip up the NDP opposition in Saskatchewan.
He also said he would work with Marois at future premiers meetings if she was re-elected.
That won't happen now, of course. The Liberals crushed the PQ and Marois lost her own seat.
