Trevor Linden Photos Through The Years

Trevor Linden Through The Years

Even skeptics are wishing the best for Trevor Linden in his new job as president of hockey operations for the Vancouver Canucks.

The beloved former captain commanded respect both on and off the ice. Originally from Medicine Hat, Alta., Linden won two Memorial Cups with his hometown Tigers before being drafted second overall by the Canucks in 1988.

Linden spent 16 seasons with the Canucks during his 20-year career, with short stints with the New York Islanders, Montreal Canadiens, and Washington Capitals. He also served as president of the NHL Players' Association for eight years.

After retiring from the NHL, Linden became a successful property developer and built a chain of fitness clubs.
