Pap Smear Rap Is Ridiculous (In A Good Way)

The Rap About Pap Smears You Didn't Think Would Be Catchy

If you can sit through three minutes of a couple of b-words and c-words in the name of women's health, then this rap is definitely worth it.

In a new PSA, British comedian and actress Nadia Kamil raps her way through statistics and other reasons why every woman should get a pap test. Kamil says cervical cancer is the second most common type of cancer, and the fifth deadliest cancer for women worldwide. In Canada, for example, 1 in 150 women are expected to develop cervical cancer during their lifetimes, and 1 in 423 will die from it, according to Statistics Canada.

In the video above, Kamil describes the process as quick and painless, and gets into what it's like when health professionals get all up in yo' grill. Using an instrument called a speculum, the test is meant to remove a small sample of cells from the cervix to look for any abnormalities or cancers. And if you're at all shy about taking off your undies and flashing your "foof," Kamil says don't be — doctors have seen thousands of vaginas, and yours is no different.
