Durant, who led the Riders to a Grey Cup victory in Regina last year, has been signed to a new multi-year contract, general manager Brendan Taman said.
"Darian Durant should be recognized as an elite quarterback in this league, which we are prepared to do," Taman said.
Durant's previous contract was set to expire at the end of the 2014 season.
"It was definitely a no-brainer to me to stay a part of this organization," Durant said.
In the 101st Grey Cup game, Durant passed for 245 yards and three touchdowns. The team romped to a 45-23 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The Riders did not release the length of the contract nor the financial terms.
